"Edward Schmahl of Arcadia Dies"
Services for Edward L. SCHMAHL, 77, long time resident of Arcadia, who died Monday, were held Thursday in Baggerley funeral home in Edmond. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mr. SCHMAHL was born in Missouri, and made the run into Oklahoma in 1889, settling with his parents on a farm near Crescent. Later he moved to Arcadia where he owned and operated a cotton gin from 1915 to 1937.
He then became an oil broked [sic] until retirement in 1957.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty S. KAY, Hollywood, Calif., and a sister, Pearl, Arcadia.
