Mrs. Cornelia Alexander King, 93, widow of Nobal Eugene King and resident of Myers Avenue, died Monday at Bel-Air Health Care. Services are Thursday at noon at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Thomas Wilson officiating. Burial is in St. John's Churchyard. Visitation with the family is today from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church or The King's Daughters. A native of Maury County, Mrs. King was the daughter of the late William John and Amy Warfield Alexander and a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where she was in the Altar Guild. She was a past regent of the Jane Knox Chapter of the DAR and a member of the Lelia Anderson Circle of The King's Daughters, Maury County Chapter of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities, Trotwood Garden Club, James K. Polk Memorial Association, and Cosmopolitan Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Emil (Landra) Spieth of Spartanburg, S.C.; a son, Nobal E. King of Lisle, Ill.; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers are Charles Alexander, C.F. Alexander, William Alexander, Thorton Ryan, Joe Thurmond, Jesse Foreman, Bill Napier, Matthew Peck and Bill Fraser. Honorary pallbearers are John Porter, Richard Pettus, Earl Pettus, James Spruill, Lee Spruill, Dr. Tom Huber, Billy Napier, Myron Peck, Robert Spieth, Russell Spieth, Jay N. King, Humberto Valesquez, David Tyler, and members of the St. Peter's Altar Guild and Vestry.
