Mrs. Duckworth died Saturday, Jan. 8, in Grapevine.
She was born April 19, 1924, to Ben and Lydia Witcher in Bell County. She was raised and educated in Bell and Falls counties, and was a longtime resident of Waco. She had lived in Grapevine for the past eight years. She was Catholic. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. "Duck" Duckworth."
She is survived by a daughter, Nelda Meador of North Richland Hills; a stepson, Jimmy Duckworth of Cyclone; a sister, Myrtle Barnes of Temple; seven grandchildren; and numerous great–grandchildren and great–great–grandchildren.
Visitation is 6–8 p.m. today at the funeral home with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Services for Eleanor Duckworth, 86, of Grapevine are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Scanio–Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Don Loftin officiating.
