| Birth: | 1840 | | Death: | Sep. 18, 1889 |  Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served during the Civil War as a Private in Company H, 1st Nebraska Veteran Volunteer Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Gilmans Ranch, Nebraska on May 12, 1865. His citation reads simply "Gallantry in defending Government property against Indians". His Medal was awarded to him on July 24, 1865.
