| Birth: | Jan. 5, 1838 | | Death: | Feb. 15, 1911 |  Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Born in Holland, he served as a Sergeant in Company K, 4th Rhode Island Infantry, Union Army. On the Blackwater River, Franklin, Virginia, October 3, 1862, while detached to the Union gunboat Barney, Sergeant Burbank repelled Confederate shore batteries with great courage.
