| Birth: | 1828 County Clare, Ireland | | Death: | Mar. 1, 1905 |  Indian Wars Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the United States Army during the Wars with the Plains Indians as a Corporal in Company A, 23rd United States Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery near Fort Hartsuff, Nebraska on August 26, 1876. His citation reads simply "Gallantry in charge on hostile Sioux".
