Mrs. Elizabeth Gaddis, wife of Alaska Gaddis, died at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday night at the family residence, 1904 North Church street. She was seventy-two years old last March. She had been in failing health for the last four years.
The maiden name of Mrs. Gaddis was Elizabeth Wolf. She was born in Schuylkill, Pa., March 11, 1857. She had been a resident of Decatur for the last forty-four years and was well known among the older residents. She is survived by her husband and four children: Mrs. Charles Kemplin, Mrs Clark Whittaker, Mrs. Earl Reeves and Paul Gaddis, all of Decatur. She also leaves a sister and brother, Mrs. E. Stack of Dowagiac, Mich and Theodore Wolf of Battle Ground, Ind.
The body was taken to Brintlinger & Sons funeral directors and prepared for burial.
