Christopher Peavler Jr., also known as Christopher Pevler in the 1820 census for Mercer County, KY, was born in Shenadoah Co. VA, the part that became known as Paige County, VA) around 1778-1780. He was the son of Christopher Pevler and his first wife, name unknown, who died between 1782- January 1784 in VA. His Mother may have been Judah Frances Smith.
Christopher moved with his family to Sullivan County TN between 1788 and 1795 where the family lived in Eaton Ridge area until 1812 when Christopher, his wife, Catherine Yeast (Married about 1804 in TN) and children, moved to Mercer County, KY around 1812-1813.

Catherine Yeast, his wife was the daughter of Johann Jacob Yost/ Yeast and his wife, Elizabeth Wyle Yeast, and sister of John Leonard Yeast.

Christopher died between January and April 1836 in Mercer County, KY where the family owned a small farm located near Cornishville, KY. Inventory of the his estate was taken in April 1836. His place of burial is unknown at this time.

He and Catherine were the parents of 10 known living children.

Joesph b. bet. 1814-1816 in KY and died abt 1888 in Mercer County, KY. He married Elizabeth Yeast in 1837.

William A. Peavler, family went by surname Peevler, b. Oct. 1821, d. Jan. 1900 in Keokuk, Iowas, BR: Colvin cemetery, Iowa. He married Mary Jane Vanarsdell in 1850. The family moved to Iowa around 1860.
Catherine Ann Peavler, b. 1822-d. 1896 in Muhlenberg Co. KY, married Anderson Sallee in 1839. Anderson was the brother of Catherine Jane Sallee and the son of Renee Chastin Sallee and step-son of Sally Pevler Sallee.
James Peavler, b. 1825- d. Feb. 1863 in Muhlenberg Co. KY. He married Catherine Jane Sallee, sister of Anderson.

Christian Henry b. 1752 in Germantown, PA.-died between 1808-1820 in TN or KY. Christian Pivler served in the American Revolutionary War in a Virginia regiment along with his brother Lewis. He married 2 times: first wife name is not documented. Tax records for VA showed that in 1783 tax records 5 whites were living on the family farm. Christian Pivler married second, Elizabeth Heston January 4, 1784 in Shenadoah Co. VA.
