Miss Mathilda C. Bax, 96, St. Elizabeth, died Saturday at her home. She was born March 5, 1894, at St. Elizabeth, a daughter of Frank and Jennie Drueding Bax. She was a lifelong resident of St. Elizabeth. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth, and of the St. Ann's Sodality. Survivors include: two brothers, Tom Bax, Kansas City, and Eugene Bax, Portland, Ore.; and two sisters, Alma Bax, St. Elizabeth, and Marie Bax, New York City. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Degnan officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
