KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY AS A HOUSTON POLICE OFFICER

Officer Henry Williams was survived by his wife and three children. They had a home in the northern section of Houston.

Officer Williams was considered a reliable officer and at the time of his death held one of the most responsible night shift beats in the city.
This incident where Officer was shot and killed was on south corner Market Square and Preston.

Officer Henry Williams was shot and killed by a suspect who was attempting Officer Henry Williams was shot and killed by a suspect who was attempting to seek revenge for being arrested by Officer Williams over the weekend. The suspect had shown up for court in the morning but learned that court would not be held until later in the day. When he went to the market square he spotted Officer Williams



After saying several words he pulled out a pistol and opened fire, striking Officer Williams.

The suspect was charged with Officer Williams' murder, but was killed during the trial.

LOT 270. THE NAME ON THE BOARDER AROUND THIS SITE 270 IS NAMED "WILLIAMS".
