--Mrs. James R. C. Stedman, 72, who lived one mile east of Miami in Deer Creek township, died of a complication of ailments in Dukes Memorial hospital here at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The body was taken to the Allen funeral home, 68 East Third street.
--Survivors include the husband and three children, Mrs. W. C. Mills, of Miami; Mrs. Verne Conn, of Walton, and Charles T. Stedman, of South Bend. Surviving also is a brother, Ebenezer Humrickhouse, of Miami.
--Born in Miami, March 29, 1869, the deceased had resided in that community all her life. She and the surviving husband were married Nov. 28, 1889. The deceased was a member of Miami Methodist church.
--Funeral services will be held at the residence Thursday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. C. V. Clifton of the Miami Methodist church in charge. Burial will follow in Chittick cemetery, southeast of Miami. The body will be removed to the residence at noon Wednesday where it may be viewed until time for services.
