WANCHESE - Ray Montague Davis, 98, died June 14, 2002, in a Nags Head nursing home. Mrs. Davis, born in Wanchese, was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late McAlister "Cal" and Lucetta Daniels Montague and the widow of Edward Marvin Davis. Mrs. Davis is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Gessford and Elsie Beck, both of Hampton and Dixie Hunt of Wanchese; a son, Tommy E. Davis of Port Isabelle, TX; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
