Fannie G. Daughtrey, 98, of Powderly, passed away Friday, September 19, 2003, at Paris Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.

She was born March 27, 1905, in Powderly, a daughter of J.W. Daughtrey and Alice Westbrooks Daughtrey. She farmed and ranched near Powderly for many years, owning Golden Bluff Quail Farm. She was a member of Women's Home Demonstration Club, Bounds Baptist Church and its Fellowship Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Clay, Bob, Hubert, Johnny, Jake and W.R. Daughtrey; and four sisters, Dona Dickson, Dovie Turner, Ollie Mae McDonald and Florence Daughtrey.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews including her caregiver, Billie Kemper and husband, David, of Powderly.

Serving as pallbearers are Karl Kemper, James Lynch, Roger Scaff, Darrell Daughtrey, Jack Fleming, Joe Vaughan and Bobby Vaughan.
