Born LeRoy Melvin Radabaugh, he was best known for co-staring in the films with Gary Cooper "The Lives of a Bengal Lancer" (1935) and with Bette Davis in "Jezebel" (1938). He began his career performing doing film extra work and made his screen debut in "King of Jazz" (1930). His other credits include "Maker of Men" (1931), "This Day and Age" (1933), "Life Begins at Forty" (1935), "Young Mr. Lincoln" (1939) and "Baby Face Morgan" (1942). After serving in the US Navy Coast Guard during World War II, he tried to return to films but had limited success with his last performance being in "Bungalow 13" (1948). He died of cancer at the age of 50 and was a star on the Holywood Walk of Fame. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
