"Mrs. Maria Patterson, a well known resident of Cherryhill township, died at her home near Mitchells Mills on Wednesday afternoon. Grandma Patterson, as she was familiarly known, was a prominent resident of that section of the county and she was a widow of a veteran of the Civil War. Among the relatives living are F. L. [Franklin L.], S. B. [S. Bruce], J. V. ? [John Calvin], T. H. [Thaddeus H.] Paterson, Mrs. Margart Rodkey, Mrs. Emma Ruffner, and Mrs. Anna Ober, all of the northern section of the county. Funeral services were held on Sunday morning and burial was made in Uniontown Cemetery."
