Charles W. Crew, 94, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Charles was born May 26, 1916, in Irene to Doctor Charles and Ada Crew. He was a supervisor with Western Electric and retired in 1982, after 44 years of service. Charles was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of South Cliff Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Frances Crew, in 2003. Survivors: Wife, Vernelle Crew of Granbury; sister, Marquiett Rucker of Hurst; nephew and caregivers, William Crew and wife, Rita, of Fort Worth; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
