Sallie J. Dean Peavler (b. abt 1818, d. abt 1881) was the wife of Jacob Peavler (b. 1820, died March 1, 1856 at the family farm near Wilson Chapel area of Mercer Co. KY).
She was the daughter of Job Dean and Nancy Isbell Dean and sister to John Dean.
Sallie was the Mother of 5 known children:
William Merritt Peavler (1846-1922), Mary Jane (Mrs. Robert Curry) (b. 1847-d. between 1872-1876), Joseph Thomas Peavler (b. Sept. 1848-d. Aug. 20, 1920 in Shelby Co. KY,went by the surname PEVLOR), Andrew Jackson Peavler (1849- 1895, BR: Cornishville Christian church cemetery), Ebenezer Magoffin Peavler (b. 1852-1905 with burial in Cornishville Christian church cemetery) and Nancy Ann Peavler (b. May 1854-living in 1900 in Mercer County, KY).
Sallie's occupation was listed as a weaver on the 1860 censuses and lived next to her brother, John Dean, and family. In 1880 censuses she was living with her son, Andrew, near Cornishville, KY. She died after 1880.
