John Cade, son of Mr. and Mrs. St. Clair Cade [Elba Jane Baker], was born in Taylor County, Iowa, Oct. 10, 1857 and died April 29, 1937, at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 19 days.

In November 1880 he was married to Miss [Lydia] Alatha Adams and four children were born to them. His wife preceded him in death in 1919 and since that time he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Dennis Crawford of New Market.

Mr. Cade was of a cheerful disposition, was a good neighbor and a kind and loving husband and father.

He is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Nellie Zing of Sheridan, Wyo., Mrs. Carry Jones and Mrs. Ida Crawford of New Market, and Frank [Elmer] Cade of Clarinda. Also eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; one brother, E.[lihu] H. [ughes] Cade, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Hipsley and Mrs. Della [Delia Ann] Webb, all of New Market.

Relatives from a distance, who attended the funeral services, included Mrs. Nellie Zing of Sheridan, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cade, Jr., of Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cade, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Savage and Frank Cade, Sr., of Clarinda; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Campbell of Bedford; Mr. and Mrs. Harve Fry of Braddyville.
