Sarah Bumgarner Painter, 86, of 700 Railroad Ave., died March 23, 2001, at Brookview Healthcare Center, Gaffney.
She was a retired textile employee and member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Frances Parker of Spartanburg; sons, Bobby Painter of Gaffney, and Ben Painter of Chester, Va.; a brother, Doris Bumgarner of Burlington, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home. Service: 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel. Burial: Frederick Memorial Gardens. Family: home of Bobby Painter, 239 Estes Road, Gaffney.
