Louisiana Governor. Known as the "Singing Governor," he served as Governor of Louisiana from 1944 to 1948 and from 1960 to 1964. He wrote the song "You Are My Sunshine" and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He also starred in several westerns in the 1940s. (bio by: Joel Manuel)
