Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson, 93, of Junction City, Oregon, formerly of Aurora, passed away Friday, December 21, 2001 at Grandview Rehabilitation & Specialty Facility in Junction City, Oregon. Betty was born April 30, 1908 in Mansfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Baki) Titschinger.
She was employed at Sears Roebuck Store in the Northgate Shopping Center for many years until her retirement in 1971. She married Melvin Anderson on April 8, 1934.
Betty is survived by her two loving daughters, Carol (Bob) Challis of Philomath, Oregon and Judy (Larry) Von Ohlen of Big Rock, IL; two granddaughters, Karin Challis of Hillsboro, Oregon and Lauri Lewis of Corvallis, Oregon; two great grandsons, Dylan and Tyler Lewis both of Corvallis, Oregon; two sisters, Mary Anderson of Arizona and Theresa Travis of Montgomery, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Melvin Anderson, her parents; and three brothers, John, Joseph and Peter Titschinger.
Visitation for Mrs. Anderson will be held on Friday, December 28, 2001 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Dieterle Memorial Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Andy Christiansen to officiate. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Batavia, IL. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Disease & Related Disorders, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076.
