Son of William Berry Pinkston and Nancy Willson. George's father, William Berry, was married three times. First to Mary Ann Ireland with whom he had two children; second to Nancy Willson (aka Wilson) which resulted in three children; third to Martha-- and to this union were born six children.

Nancy Willson was the daughter of Reuben Willson and Jemima Herod (Harrod) both of Kentucky and Missouri.

G.W. PINKSTON, PIONEER DIES AT HOME MONDAY

Mr. G.W. Pinkston, who succumbed at his home on Monday night was sixty-eight years, five months and nine days old when he died near Truby on June 8, 1926.

Mr. Pinkston was a fine Christian man, having belonged to the Nazerene church for thirty years, being converted when he was thirty-eight years of age.

Mr. Pinkston never in the least way was out of humor, always had a good word for everyone, and was loved by everyone with whom he came in contact.

Mr. Pinkston is the father of nine children, of whom six were at his funeral. Those who did not get there for the funeral were Mrs. Essie Myles of Pecos, Texas, Mr. Wash Pinkston of El Centro, California, and Mrs. Lucy Hunga of Seeley, California.

Born in Osage county, Missouri, Mr. Pinskton married Miss Mary Matlock fifty years ago. He was laid to rest in the Hawley Cemetery and his funeral was preached by the Rev. Williamson of Abilene.

At his death he had nine living children, 35 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, his life companion, one brother and one sister. six of his children were present. Mr. Harvey Pinkston, Matt Pinkston, Mrs. W.V. (Nancy) Triplett, and Mrs. R.L.(Manola) Connell of Hawley. Columbus Pinkston of Water Valley, and Mrs. Luther (Mary) Mathis of Hereford. He also leaves one brother, Joe G. Pinkston of Hawley who was present at his funeral and a half sister, Mrs. James (Siddie) Jones of Springfield, Mo., who was not able to come.
