Alexander George Mikedis, 79, of 709 W. 21st St. died Wednesday morning in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Turkey(Greece) he moved to the United States at the age of 14, and had lived in Jacksonville for 29 years. Mr. Mikedis was a veteran of W.W.I and a member of the St. Johns, the Divine Greek Orthodox Church. Survivors inclued his second wife, Mrs. Lilla M. Mikedis. Funeral Services at 11 am Friday in Key-McCabe Northside Chapel. Rev. Father Frank m. Kiriangitis officiating.
