Harry Served in World War I from 1917-1919. He was a cook in Company C, 339th Infantry Regiment 85th Division. He served in Archangel, Russia as part of "Detroit's Own" who referred to themselves as the "Polar Bear Regiment." He came home and was discharged from Camp Custer on July 18, 1919. He never married or had any children. He was a truck driver for Murray Body in Detroit and retired from there. His place of death was the VA hospital in Allen Park. He died of heart disease. He is buried with his two sisters Grace and Jean and their parents.
