Chauncey Winslow was born on May 26, 1826 in Madrid, St. Lawrence County, New York, a son of Torry D. and Theressa "Thura" or "Thursy" (Burns) Winslow; he married Mary Whelan abut 1858, perhaps in Wilton, Will County, Illinois; Chauncey died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet, Illinois as a result of "Injuries received by an unmanageable team of horses" on November 6, 1884 in Wilton, Will County, Illinois. Chauncy and Mary apparently had no children.
