Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Davis was the second child and only son of Benjamin F. and Margaret Jennings Davis. He grew up in Wartrace and served with the 1st Tennessee during the Spanish-American War, including service in the Philippines.
Frank worked for the Cumberland Telephone Company, starting in 1900. This company later became Southern Bell. He did leave the telephone company for one year, 1910, when he managed the Wartrace Hotel.
Frank Davis was also a founder of the Wartrace Church of Christ.
Frank married Mary Jane Boyle on April 4, 1905. They had seven children:
