The daughter of Benjamin & Elizabeth (Deering) Jones, she married John Ruggles on Dec. 25, 1729 in Hull, Plymouth, MA. (his second wife).

The Will of Sarah Ruggles, widow, was written Nov. 20, 1784.
To William Adams, Jr. son of William of "Hoppinton" 2 cows & my feather bed I brought with me to Braintree. To Joanna Adams my best silk gown & large silver spoon. To Sarah Totman, Sarah Jones, Mary Jones, Sarah wife of Henry Hayden, Sarah Ruggles Hayden daughter of Henry & Rebecca Hayden & to Elizabeth wife of Dea. Jonathan Webb.
