Mr. and Mrs. Timp Married 60 Years, Hold Celebration

Calmar-Mr. and Mrs. William Timp celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary Monday by renewing their wedding vows during a nuptial high mass at the St. Aloysius Catholic church. The Rev. A.S. Piekert, assisted by the Rev. Joseph Vollmecke, officated. The nuptial music was played by Sister M. Venceanna with their grand-daughter, Reta Elsbernd, soloist. They were attended by four of their grandchildren: Alice and Rose Elsbernd of Fort Atkinson, and Cletis and Alvin Timp.
William Hageman of Willowdale, Kans., brother of Mrs. Timp and one of their attendants at their wedding 60 years ago, was also present. Following the services a dinner and reception was held at the auditorium for 100 guests.
Mr. Timp was born in Festina, Nov. 9, 1860, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Timp. Mrs. Timp was born Feb. 16, 1859 in New Vienna, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederich Hageman.
Mr. and Mrs. Timp were married at St. Mary's church in Festina on Feb. 16, 1882. They are parents of seven children all of whom were present for the occasion. They are John, Gettysburg, S. Dak.; Fred, De Smet, S. Dak.; Mrs. Joseph Bullerman, Calmar; Mrs. Anton Elsbernd, Fort Atkinson; William Jr., Mrs. Edward Hosting, and Felix all of near Calmar. There are 30 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
