Apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Son of sixth President of the Church, Joseph F. Smith, and named after his martyred grandfather Hyrum, Patriarch to the Church and brother of the Prophet Joseph Smith.
He served several missions to Europe, after the return of his last he died suddenly at the age of forty-five of some sickness.
