Renaun surely was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father May 25, 2006, in Sandy, Ut.
She was born on March 21, 1924, in Price, Utah, being the daughter of and raised by her devoted mother Rhoda Pace. Renaun was a single child but enjoyed close friendships with her neighbors and cousins. Renaun graduated from Carbon High School and soon thereafter was swept off her feet by her husband Louis Brackett who she married on November 6, 1941. Shortly thereafter Louis joined the US Army and Renaun followed him to his training base while this country was at War. Together they had two children, Louis Vincent and Barbara Ann. Renaun enjoyed the skills she learned by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for her favorite was quilting. Louis passed away in 1952 and Renaun with her two children moved to Salt Lake City to raise them and find employment opportunities. She studied real hard and became a successful beautician running her own shop where she made many friends along with satisfying them as happy customers. Shortly thereafter, Renaun met LaMar Hansen fell in love and was married on May 26, 1953 and moved to Salt Lake City. He was employed by the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. They traveled, went on fishing trips and were avid bowlers together. LaMar passed away in 1995, and Renaun relocated to Sandy, Utah, where she remained until her passing.
Renaun is survived by three of her four children: Louis V. Brackett (Judith, deceased) Provo, Utah; Barbara Ann (deceased) with her husband Steve Abbott, Salt Lake City; Karen (Tex) Hoopes, Logan, Utah; Claudia (Gene) Vea, Spring Glen, Utah. Renaun has 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 2, 2006, at 12 noon at the Midvale 10th Ward Chapel, 8800 South 150 West (Monroe St.) In Sandy, Utah. (Directions from 9000 South turn north at the light after passing Butterfield Ford to the church). The viewing will be held Thursday evening, from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah, and at the church on Friday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at the Price City Cemetery, Price, Ut.
