Eugene L. Larry Griffith, 79, died June 21., 1999 in Klamath Falls of complications of diabetes.
He was born to Everett Griffith and Mary (Marguerite) Griffith. He married Lucille Ida Falk on March 10, 1939. She preceded him in death July 29, 1974.
The couple remained in Lansing, Mich., until 1947 when they moved to San Diego. Afer living in several locations in California, they moved to Klamath Falls in 1964.
Mr. Griffith married Rebecca Cope Baker on Oct. 2, 1984, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, 10 years after his first wife's death.
Throughout his life he engaged in various aspects of construction and participated in remodeling apple sorting equipment to handle potatoes.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, raising rabbits, traveling and photography. He was part of the group that formed the Klamath Basin Photography Club and was active in that organization as long as it existed.
He was an elder and a board member of the First Church of God in Klamath Falls and was a team member of the Church of God's L.I.V.E. Minstistry.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Griffith of Klamath Falls; children and their spouses, Virginia Hernandez of Portland, Lucille and Manuel Diaz, Carol Heatley, Katherine and Gary Welch, all of Klamath Falls, Virginia and David Buckman and Martin and Robin Baker; grandchildren and spouses, Janine Hernandez, Bert Hernandez, Donna Mativich, Cathy Barrows, Terri Heatley, Charles Heatly, David Heatley, Marc Griffith, Ann and Herman Qualls, Kathleen and Shawn Alkinson and Donald Hegedus; and 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchldren.
