BORGER - Edgar Linwood Betts, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Ted Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Betts was born March 10, 1917, in Hereford to Ernest and Telta Tate Betts. He married Willie Mae Grant on Sept. 27, 1939, in Guymon, Okla.

Mr. Betts served his country during WWII in the U.S. Air Force as a Pilot and 1st Lieutenant.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years; a daughter Linda McGowan; a son, Ricky Betts of Borger; a sister, Billie Hill of Clovis, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to The Memorial Fund at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 100 Amaryllis St., Borger, TX 79007.
