Mrs. Willmon , age 94 of Swearengin, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at her residence.
She is survived by six sons; Charles (Martha) Willmon of Section, AL, Alton (Helen) Willmon of Swearengin, AL, David Myrle (Mildred) Willmon of Grant, AL, Verlon (Judy) Willmon of Cullman, AL, Dwight (Karen) Willmon of Scottsboro, AL and Neal Willmon of Swearengin, two daughters; Martha (James) Higdon of Swearengin, Al and Maxine (Tim) Byrum of Section, AL, 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, half-brother, Arney Morrow of Laverne, AL and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Willmon was preceded in death by husband Lawrence Willmon, parents Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Morrow, daughter Reba Willmon, eight brothers and three sisters.
The family wishes to thank Alacare Hospice for their great care of their mother.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday at Oak Grove Holiness Church with Rev. Ollie Taylor officiating. Anthony Willmon will do the eulogy. The body will lie in state at church from 11:30am until funeral time. Burial will follow in Gunters Mountain Memory Gardens . Visitation will be at Scottsboro Funeral Home Wednesday from 3 until 8pm. Benji, Chris, Jeff and Jason Willmon, Jamie Higdon and Justin Byrum will serve as pallbearers.
