HAWKINS - Rollin L. (Bud) Hawkins of 26220 G Street, Springfield, died in December 7, 1984, at a local hospital at the age of 55. Rollin (Bud) Hawkins was born on December 10, 1928 to Riley and Alice Hawkins. He grew up and received his education in Toledo and graduated from Toledo High School. He moved to this community in 1948 and was united in marriage to Margaret Colenbaugh on January 22, 1967, at Reno, Nevada. Bud Hawkins had worked in the lumber industry most of his lifetime. He was employed by Weyerhaeuser Company in Springfield for nearly 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Marge) Hawkins of Springfield, his mother, Alice McDougle of Springfield, a son, Danny and his wife, Debbie of Eugene, daughters, Mrs John (Cheryl) Ingles of Springfield, and Mrs. Dan (Katherine Marie) Gilday of North Bend, brothers Marvin and his wife Betty of Springfield, Dale Duane and his wife Jeannie of Misawa, Japan, grandchildren, Julie Ingles, Damian and Lisa Gilday, and Laura, Gail and Carrie Hawkins, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Riley, on December 3, 1981. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 1984 at 1 pm in the MAJOR-FREDERICKSEN FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Howard Mosely officiating the services. Concluding rites and vault interment will be at Lane Memorial Gardens.
