Mrs. Christine Bessie Horne Bearden passed away at 12:15 am on Friday morning at Serenity Hospice in Dublin, after a long illness. She was surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. James W. Horne and Mrs. Clarkie McConnell Horne and also her late husband, Mr. J.D. Bearden and a daughter.
Mrs. Bearden was born in Montgomery County on July 4, 1922. She and J.D. were married on October 2, 1944 and she has lived in Dublin since 1950. During World War II, she served her country, working as a welder at the Brunswick Shipyards.
She was a charter member of Springdale Baptist church and Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. During her life she worked as a Beautician and retired from Oxford Manufacturing Company.
Mrs. Bearden is survived by a son, Johnny (Bonnie) Bearden and a daughter, Brenda Bearden (Bob) Keen, her four grandchildren, Erin Keen-Hansil (Donald), Sandy K. Addis (Jerald), Dawn B. Ginn (Mark)and Brandy B. Potter (Toby). She was blessed to know her seven great grandchildren, Robert, Carmen, Emersyn, Haley, Mallie, Toby Jr. and Matthew. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
