Oldest Darke Co. attorney dies.
Atty. Harvey F. Dershem,81,oldest member of the Darke County Bar association,both from a standpoint of years and service,died at 6 a.m. Thursday at his residence, 215 Gray avenue, Greenville.
Mr. Dershem was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1890, shortly after he was graduated from the old Cincinnati Law college, and four years later located in Greenville.
The only immediate survivors are his wife and a foster-daughter,Mrs. Lawrence Lightcap,of Dayton. Five brothers and sisters also preceded him in death.
Funeral services are to be conducted from the Dershem residence at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon,Rev. John Harrington will officiated. Interment will be in Gettysburg Cemetery.
(Miller Funeral Home Records state that Harvey Franklin Dershem was born Aug. 1,1861 at Gettysburg,Darke Co.,OH,the son of Abraham Dershem and Hulda Hole (both b. in OH). His wife was Clara A. Dershem.)
