WIFE OF ALPHONSO CURTIS
The funeral services for Mrs. Stephen Alphonso Curtis, 33 years old, were held at the Caney Fork Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. T.M. Browning. The pallbearers were the six oldest brothers of the deceased, Joe, Ernest, Luke, William, Buel, and Palmer Bassett. Mrs. Curtis before her marriage was Miss. Mayme Bassett. She died as a result of an operation which was the fourth she had undergone. She is survived by her husband, parents, two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Hallie) Dickey, and Miss. Emma Bassett, both of this county, nine brothers, Joe Bassett, Anderson, Indiana; Luke, Lexington; Ernest, William, Buel, Palmer, James, Clarence and Carl, all of this county.

She had an infant boy who died before one year old.
