LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Thu., Jan. 3, 1985. 'Mrs. Annie Mae Francis, wife of the late Thomas A. Francis, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Sunday, Dec. 30. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Draper officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Mrs. Francis was born Oct. 18, 1893, in Red River County, a daughter of John Robert Armstrong and Lucy Ann Richards Armstrong. She married Thomas A. Francis on Sept. 6, 1914 in the Glory Community and lived there until 1944 when she moved to Paris. Her husband died April 14, 1982. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James E. (Constance) Lemon of Dallas; two sons, Woodrow Francis of Pittsburgh and Jack E. Francis of Paris; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Armstrong of Paris; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Gentry of Paris and Mrs. Ludie Mae Sparks of Powderly'.
