In Loving Rememberance Of Mrs. J.B. Phillips died Jan. 27, 1910
Gone but not forgotten; A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is filled; A place is vacant in our house which never can be filled. God in his wisdom has recalled the born his love had given, and though the body slumbers here The soul is safe in Heaven. This memory card came from her daughter Jewel Pauline Phillips Littlejohn. Chandler News-Publicist, Jan. 28, 1910, the obituary of Mrs. J.B. Phillips
Cause of death: Typhoid
Death of Mrs. J.B Phillips died at the home north and west of Chandler last Thursday of a complication of disease. Deceased had been ill for a month with typhoid fever, and just began to improve when other complications set in, causing a relapse from which she never rallied. A husband and two children, a boy and a girl. (John Buford & Jewel Phillips) are left to mourn her lose. She was a native of Kentucky and had resided here for four years, was a daughter of Mrs. S.J. Pidcock who died a week before last. (should have been Mrs. J.W. Pidcock) At the time of her death Mrs. Phillips was fourty one years of age. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was loved and respected by all who knew her.Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Stephens were held at the Baptist church last Friday. Interments was made in Oak Grove Cemetery.
