Born at Warren, N.H. August 4, 1822. Died at Concord February 19, 1904.
Mr. Philbrick came to Plymouth when four years old and lived in the west part of town till manhood. He learned the carpenter's trade and went to Manchester and Salem, Massachusetts. About 1855 he moved to Weare, went from Weare to Littleton and from Littleton to Plymouth in 1868 where he has since lived until last fall when he went to his daughter's at Concord. Mr. Philbrick was twice married. His first Sylvia A. Brown died in 1851 leaving one son, Adin H. of this place. His second wife is Anna C. Dow who died about one year ago leaving three daughters, Hattie E. Pierce of Carlton, California, Sylvia C. Whittemore of Concord and Belle A. Philbrick of Concord.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the M.E. Church with Rev. R.T. Wolcott officiating clergyman. The remains were placed in the tomb at Riverside to await final interment at the family lot at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Mr. Philbrick was a kindly man, a good citizen and father. He was a member of the M.E. Church and Plymouth Grange P. of H. His connection with the grange was of long duration and he was one of the Charter members of the original body and of that order organized here several years ago. >The Plymouth Record, March 5, 1904.
Harrison is the son of David and Eunice (Clark) Philbrick. He married 1st on April 15, 1849 Sylvia A. Brown who was born February 27, 1824 and died in Manchester February 18, 1851. Sylvia is the daughter of Levi and Hannah (Dow) Brown of Deering. He married his second wife, Ann on February 26, 1852.
With his first wife there was one child, Adin Harrison whose biography can be found on this site. With his second wife there were four children:
•Hattie Emily who was born June 22, 1854. She married, April 11, 1874 George S. Pierce who was in the railroad service. They resided in Colton, Calif.
•Sylvia Celestia who was born October 23, 1856. She married Albert T.
•Willis Floran who was born May 9, 1859.
•Belle Aurora who was born September 19, 1863. In 1904 she married
David G. Lowell and they resided in Concord.
Harrison was a carpenter and farmer and had resided in Plymouth since the Civil War. In his later years he passed winters in Georgia.
