Pauline Luckey, 78, of Loveland, died July 14, 2000, in Lawrence, Kan.
Born Nov 28, 1921 in Wyocena, Wisconsin, to Alfred B and Ora Elizabeth van Swearengen Miller, she married Thomas Donnell Luckey on Sept 1 1943 in Portage, Wisconsin.
Mrs Luckey earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout and later attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
A homemaker and free-lance writer, Mrs Luckey wrote numerous articles for doll magazines. She also wrote a book, "Dolls in Denmark: Then and Now."
Before moving to Loveland in 1984, she had been a resident of South Bend, Ind and Columbia, Mo.
Mrs Luckey was a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc. and the founder and current president of the Sweetheart Dollers of Loveland. She was also active in PEO, church circles and a local book club. She was a member of the Writer's Guild of Missouri.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Loveland.
Survivors include husband Don Luckey of Loveland; daughters Jane Luckey of Little Rock, Ark; Mary Luckey and husband Paul Kivel of Oakland, Calif, and Donna Luckey and husband John Heider of Lawrence, Kan; brothers Bill Miller of Madison, Wisc and Roy Miller of Portage, Wisc; sisters Betty Scheunemann of Chicago, Ill, Grace Gutmann of Menomonee Falls, Wisc, and Mildred Hoch of King, Wisc and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Memorial services will be 10:30 am. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, the Rev Priscilla Fussman and the Rev Olon Lindemood officiating.
At the family's request, there will be no viewing.
Memorial gifts may be made to the First United Methodist Church for the Community Kitchen or the First United Methodist Church Youth Group in care of Allnutt Funeral Service.
