"Mrs. Mary Ann Cooper Peck, 93, pioneer Salt Lake resident died Sunday at the home of her son Gordon D. Peck, Los Angeles, Cal., of causes incident to age.
Born April 30, 1855, in St. Joseph Mo., she was a daughter of Charles and Jane Thompson Cooper. She came across the plains to Salt Lake City by ox-cart with her parents when she was about five years old.
She was married to Charles W. Peck, December 23, 1872, in the Salt Lake Endowment House, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her address before she left here to live with her son in California was 768 Emerson ave., where she resided for more than 20 years.
Survivors besides her son Gordon, include three sons and a daughter, Charles W. Jr., Guy E., and Hugh L. Peck, Mrs. Charles H. Worthen Jr., and a sister, Mrs. Emma Jane Shafer, all of Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be in Salt Lake City."
She was buried Friday, September 24, 1948.
