Henry Boshell also known as Bud, was born July 31, 1921. He attended the Greenwood School and Central High School in Kansas City, graduating in 1938. After graduation, Boshell entered a one year Army training program and eventually left for Goose Bay in Labrador on April 9, 1944, from Tampa, Florida. It was during this trip that his plane, a B-17, went down in a severe storm.
