Ed Butler, well-known farmer, who lived near Columbia, died Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with acute heart trouble following a brief illness. He was born at Albany in Clinton County, June 29, 1868, being 64 years of age at the time of his death. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Butler, belonging to a family which has long been prominent in this County. His mother Mrs. Sallie Butler, died just thirteen months ago.
The deceased is survived by his wife, four daughters, and two sons. The children are: Mrs. W.A. Stevenson, Harrodsburg; Mrs. J.C. Whittle, of Toledo, Ohio; Misses Sallie Ed and Bobbie Butler, John Butler, and Josh Butler. Funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. J.J. Cole on Sunday morning at 10:00 o'clock. The remains were laid to rest in the family graveyard.
