JOEY JOHNSON
A resident of Grady County since 1905, Joey B. Johnson, 60, of Alex died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday at Grady Memorial Hospital following a sudden heart attack.
Johnson was born Aug 3, 1902 near Caddo. With his parents, he settled at Bradley in 1905. He lived in Friend, Amber, Tabler and Union Hill before moving to Alex 10 years ago. A farmer-stockman, Johnson was a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lillie Johnson; four daughters, Mrs. Walter Brown, Dallas; Mrs. Guy Cornelius, Jr. Hereford, Tex; Mrs. Bruce Gossman, Temple, Tex.; and Miss Jan Johnson, Alex; three sons, Joey Johnson, Jr., Lovington, N. M.; Richard Monroe Johnson, Kaiserslaughtern, Germany and Jimmy Johnson , Alex. Two brothers, Alex Johnson, Richmond, Calif.; and Elmer Johnson, Chickasha and a half-brother, Edd Weaver, Chickasha.
