MAYODAN – Betty Clay "Honey" Rothrock, 86, died Monday, November 22, 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital.
A memorial service will be hald at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Madison, 110 South Franklin Street, Madison, NC.
Mrs. Rothrock was born December 26, 1923, in Big Run, PA, to the late Harvey and Edna Ecelbarger. She was a homemaker and served as organist for Mayodan United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Betty enjoyed many activities including sewing, needlework, reading, traveling and music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Dr. Thomas B. Clay and George M. Rothrock, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Beth Clay Rouse (Rev. Mike) of Dillon, SC, Nancy J. Clay of Woodland Hills, CA, and Julie Clay McFall (Phil) of Mayodan; grandchildren, Jeff Joyce (Beth), Brad Joyce (Sylvia), Emily Duncan (Jay) and Patrick McFall and great-grandchildren, Hannah and Bryan.
