Lester M. Chandler, 93, Danville, Indiana, died September 8, 2009 [at Hendricks Regional Health]. He was born July 26, 1916 in Hendricks County to Oscar and Ada (Newlin) Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a Plainfield High School graduate. He was an inventory counter at International Harvester in Indianapolis for 41 years, retiring in 1986. He was married to his wife of 65 years, Mary (Stewart) Chandler, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Terry (Becky) Chandler of Danville; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by twin daughters and his brothers, Lloyd and Keith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009 in Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, with visitation there from Noon until service. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Plainfield.
