Dean died Dec. 12, 2004, in Nacogdoches.
Born July 3, 1951, in Nacogdoches, she was the daughter of Curtis and Alease Smith Scroggins. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Dean of Nacogdoches; son, John Wayne Dean of Beckville; daughters, Joann Dean of Beckville and Jackie Downing and Janice Dean, both of Nacogdoches; mother, Alease Scroggins of Seagoville; brothers, Johnny Scroggins of Justin, Walter Scroggins and Curtis Scroggins Jr., both of Seagoville, and Wyman Scroggins of Zavalla; three stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
