DIES AT BRUCEVILLE
The following account of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Faith is taken from a Vincennes paper.
Bruceville, March 21--Death claimed Mrs. Elizabeth Faith, 76, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Della McDonald, here early this morning following an illness which began only last Saturday.
For more than a year the elderly woman has not been in good health since she was severely burned, and lay at the point of death in the hospital at Vincennes. She recovered enough to be brought home, however, and up until Saturday was up and around the house. Even on Sunday she was not confined to her bed all day. The attack of asthma and flu was too much for her weakened system, however, and the end came early this morning; about 8:00 o'clock.
Elizabeth Mauck was born 76 years ago last August in Harrison county near Corydon. On September 2, 1875, she was married to Jacob Faith, who died before Mrs. Faith moved to Bruceville about twenty years ago. Forty three years ago Mrs. Faith converted under the preaching of Rev. Richardson at the Rosenbarger school near Corydon and joined the United Brethren church.
Surviving are five sisters, three brothers, three children, ten grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. Sisters and brothers are; Mrs. Lafe Lingenfelter, Vincennes; Mrs. Emma Cline and Mrs. Tena Nye, Corydon, Mrs. Lotta Pfrimmer, Perry, Oklahoma; Lafe Mauck, Oaktown; Wyatt Mauck, Terre Haute, and Columbus Mauck; Corydon. Children: Mrs. Della McDonald, at whose home Mrs. Faith died; William, of Bruceville; Ivan, of Vincennes; Mrs. Ira Borden, another daughter, is dead.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow...[b]urial will be made at Vincennes beside the body of the deceased daughter. --The Corydon Democrat (Corydon, Indiana); 11 April 1928
