Mrs. Anna Elizabeth “Betty” (Funk) Pratt, 92, a resident of Menno Haven Retirement Community, Chambersburg and formerly of Buchanan Trail East, Waynesboro, died Tuesday evening, December 4, 2018, in the nursing home.

Born May 21, 1926 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Mary (Reynolds) Funk. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.

Mrs. Pratt graduated from Washington Township High School with the Class of 1944.

She and her husband, the late Denver Pratt, were married on September 14, 1945 in Hagerstown, MD. They moved to Buchanan Trail East in 1954. Mr. Pratt died on June 18, 2000.

In her early life, Mrs. Pratt worked at Landis Machine Company and the Waynesboro Knitting Mill. She later worked in the maintenance department of the Waynesboro Area School District for over 22 years, retiring in 1991.

She was a member of the National AARP.

Mrs. Pratt enjoyed shopping, riding in cars, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by four children, Sandra L. Freshman and her husband, Ronnie of Waynesboro, Nancy P. Glass and her husband, Harry of Chambersburg, Richard A. Pratty and his wife, Deb of Waynesboro, and Patricia A. Carbaugh and her husband, Rick of Waynesboro; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Alison Freshman; one brother, Charles W. Funk; and one sister, Mary Jane Simmers.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Antietam Cemetery, Waynesboro.
